| PTSA Membership - Please Join | Please remember to join the PTSA. You will receive a coupon for a free Chic-Fil-A Sandwich and other discounts just for joining! PTSA helps provide the school with many of it's programs and helps to improve the school environment. What is the PTSA? The PTSA is the Parent Teacher Student Association What does the PTSA do? The PTSA assists the school in organizing events and coordinating special projects and improvements to the Vaughan Community. How do I join? Membership Forms will be passed out at "Sneak a Peek", fill out the forms and pay $5.00 per family member. The Mission of the PTSA - To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
The Purposes of the PTSA - To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
Please contact Diane Krause (Membership Chairperson) with any questions. The Membership Chairperson is in charge of PTSA membership at Vaughan. This includes collecting the membership dues, keeping a record of paid/non-paid members, distributing the membership cards and delivery of the membership donations to our treasurer for deposit. Finally, a report of the membership numbers is presented to the PTSA board.
